Waterscapes, Seascapes Abstract Art

My feet are covered in fire ant bites, rubbed raw from flippers, face breaking out from sunscreen. I slept outside for four days. This is what it takes for me to make completely abstract waterscapes expressing the mood, feel and movement of the interaction between water, air and sunlight.

My photographic series of waterscapes is essentially speed studies of how air, water, and light interact using camera techniques learned through experimentation. I plan shoots far in advance based on the orbit of Earth around the sun, weather forecast and seasonal conditions. You can find me cruising the coast, racing to sunrise or sunset, gasping for air in springs, getting smashed by waves at beaches, desperately trying to get shots while protecting the camera, constantly clearing the lens of splash. Find me at pretty water.
