HOP TO IT: After Art Walk
Last Saturday was St. Petersburg’s Second Saturday Art Walk, when many galleries open new exhibitions. There were too many to feature in last week’s column, but the following are still on display:
“Good Vibrations II” at the Leslie Curran Gallery is a group show inspired by the bright colors of summer, when the sun makes everything look oversaturated. Artists include Nathan Beard, Akiko Kotani, Xina Scuderi and a special David Hockney painting, courtesy of Collector’s Exchange. Doesn’t Camille Izumi’s painting just epitomize summer? That feeling of slipping into the cool, blue relief. Catch it before it closes on Aug. 31. Free. 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday. 1431 and 1445 Central Ave. (727) 898-6061. articlesstpete.com.
